Whether you're a parent, educator, clinician, paraprofessional, or simply someone who cares deeply about children, this course will give you tools you can use immediately — and a perspective that can change everything. Introduction to the DIR Model is a powerful, inspiring entry point into a relationship-based approach that transforms how we support children and families. Through real stories, practical examples, and guided reflection, you'll begin to see differently — understanding what's happening beneath behavior and how meaningful, attuned relationships can unlock development. This course is open to all South Africans and serves as the gateway to the Profectum DIR Foundations Certificate Program.

Cancellation Policy
Four live Zoom sessions of two hours: Mondays 5, 12, 19 and 26 October 2026, 19:00 to 21:00 SAST. Live only, not recorded. Curriculum owned by Profectum Foundation; your contract is with Connected Learning with Kate Bailey. Fees Professional R2,750 (HPCSA registered and other qualified practitioners). Parent, caregiver and teacher R1,500. Ten percent off for eight or more places booked together. Registration is confirmed only on the completed form, full payment and written confirmation. The reduced rate carries no Continuing Education credits and no route into the Profectum Foundations of DIR Certificate pathway. Rates cannot be upgraded later; proof of eligibility may be requested. Attendance All four sessions, in full, are required for certification. There is no partial certificate, catch up or recording in place of attendance. Miss any part and you retake the course at the fee applying then. Attendance is taken from the Zoom log: join under your registered name, camera on. Certificates are issued by Profectum. Technical You need at least 5 Mbps, a device with camera and microphone, updated Zoom, a quiet space and a plan for load shedding. Telephone audio is not attendance. Content missed through a fault on your side is not repeated or refunded. If the fault is ours, we reschedule at no cost. Conduct De identify all case examples. What others share stays in the course. No recording, screenshots or streaming without written permission. Disruptive conduct may lead to removal without refund. Materials For your own learning only, not to be copied, shared or used to teach others. Completion does not make you DIR certified or authorised to teach the model. You may state that you completed the Introduction to the DIR Model course. Withdrawal In writing to info@katebailey.org; the date received applies. 15 or more working days before the first session: refund less R750 administration. Fewer: no refund. Once the course begins: no refund. If minimum numbers are not reached we may postpone or cancel, offering a credit or full refund. Liability The course is educational, not supervision, consultation, diagnosis or treatment. You remain responsible for your own clinical decisions, and our liability is limited to the fee paid. These terms, the POPIA notice and the registration form are governed by South African law.
